The heart indicated here is your heart chakra, an energy center located in the center of your chest. The heart is an instrument through which pure energies flow, and you can activate and feel this energy and direct it to achieve your highest potential.
The purpose is to develop the heart and begin to open it. It is then that you come to a true understanding of who you are and what your purpose is in life. To achieve this, you really must have a true inner desire for it to happen. During this process you come to deepen your feelings of caring, acceptance and compassion for yourself and for others. You come to respond with deep warmth and true understanding and come to know higher knowledge and wisdom.
Developing the heart and opening it is not easy when attending university or being part of any academic environment. Unless it is creative work, it usually is very intellectual and requires analytical and mental concentration. Yet, how can intellectual knowledge be balanced with inner wisdom?
For instance, when writing analytical papers or theorizing academic queries, link with your heart to your Higher Self and place any information that you are thinking about into your heart to come to a deeper and more comprehensive understanding.
Or, when giving a presentation in an academic environment, first link with your heart to your Higher Self and ask for guidance and help to be in your heart during the process and to be articulate and authentic in your responses.
Also, when preparing for any examination, link with your heart to your Higher Self and ask for guidance and help in your work. When answering examination questions, remember to be centered in your heart, connected to your Higher Self.
Furthermore, whenever you need to respond to someone who is very intellectual, remember to link with your heart to your Higher Self and ask for help to respond intellectually but with heart energy so that your response is deeper and more comprehensive.
To balance intellectual knowledge with inner wisdom in academia takes much self-awareness and perseverance.
The importanthing is to to remember to start each day with a moment of quiet reflective time. Then link with your heart to your Higher Self and ask to remember to be in your heart throughout the day. At the end of the day, look back and see if you have tried to remember to be in your heart during that day.
It is not easy to remain in your heart especially when feeling stressed, anxious or tired. When this happens, pause for a few minutes, take a few deep breaths, and try to calm yourself. When calm, link with your heart to your Higher Self. Remember, it is through the heart connected to the Higher Self that you come to know higher knowledge and wisdom and that you can achieve your highest potential.
