The Heart and Wisdom

Wisdom uses the heart to manifest. It comes from a higher source and flows into the heart. To access higher knowledge and wisdom and bring it into your aware consciousness, you need to use and work with both the heart and the mind.

When you ponder a complex concept to which you would like to have a deeper understanding, that concept flows through the mind resulting in a thought. Putting that thought into the heart, you may come up with a feeling of understanding a deeper meaning of the concept. Then taking this feeling as a thought and again putting it into the mind, you may come up with yet a deeper and more comprehensive level of understanding.

It is this energy flow between mind and heart that brings higher knowledge and wisdom into your aware consciousness.

Your Higher Self guides and helps you to access this higher knowledge and wisdom, but it is through your own exerted effort that you can deepen your understanding of what it is that you would like to know.

Think of a concept to which you would like a deeper understanding. Formulate a question around the concept, and link with your heart to our Higher Self and ask your Higher Self the question. When you receive an answer, put that answer into your mind. Whatever thought comes up put it into our heart, and then put that feeling or thought back into your mind. You may continue this process until you feel you have come to a deeper understanding to the original question. (From Higher Self Yoga teachings, founded by Nanette Hucknall.)

You may also receive answers to your questions while meditating, in dreams, or when out in nature. At times it is easier to receive an answer when resting, when in a peaceful state, or when in different locations where the atmosphere is purer and filled with positive vibrations.

To come to know higher knowledge and wisdom is an aptitude we all need to learn. In an academic environment to practice the above is crucial. The concepts presented typically are varied and complex. To access higher knowledge and wisdom and come to a deeper understanding, it may be helpful to go into nature, observe its beauty, and allow answers to percolate up into your aware consciousness. Remember, it is a learning process. Always write down the questions and the answers as it may take time to go deeper and learn more.
